Serve, Learn + Connect
Watch Video This program will utilize the values of: Care, Gratitude, Resilience & Respect as a foundation for teaching about community service in a fun, engaging and interactive way. Over the course of the program, students will experience service through: fundraising, material donations, education, hands-on activities and creation of personalized product donations. The combination of education, hands-on service experience and reflection/presentation, creates the most valuable and lasting service experience for students.
Exploring The Great Arts
Introductory class for children to get to know the great artists! Each week will feature a different artist and their artistic style. The class will begin with the literature on Getting To Know The World's Greatest Artists. Children will then be given an opportunity to create their own artistic masterpiece in the style of the artist being studied that week.
Latin Dance Basics
This class would cover the history, cultural significance and foundational steps of both dances, along with rhythm practice and possibly partner work.
Programs start at 3:05 on the dates listed above. Students will be escorted to their class location by teachers/parent volunteers in school. Pickup is at 4:05 for all classes except Robothink Robotics which is at 4:30. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP
4th and 5th Grade Spring Musical:
The musical committee is excited for this year's 4th and 5th grade spring musical Into the Woods Jr!
All rehearsals will be held after school on Mondays and Wednesdays in January and February. For more information, clickhere.
The Brayton Holiday Shop is open for business on December 5th and 6th! Each class will have an assigned time on one of the days to shop the merchandise and purchase items for family and friends. Price points are in the $1-$10 range. Flyers are going home with a gift list planner, envelope for cash purchases and information on how to use an online voucher (Mastercard or Visa, with a service fee.)
If using the online voucher option, please have the payment completed by Wednesday, December 4th at 8pm. It is difficult to check online proof of vouchers while we are in school at the shop so setting that up ahead of time is very helpful.
We can't run this event without your help! VOLUNTEER SPOTS ARE STILL REMAINING! Please sign up to volunteer for checkout, wrapping, restocking and helping the children shop.
We are excited to announce that Brayton's annual International Night is back!
SAVE THE DATE for Thursday January 23rd, 7:00-8:30pm in the Brayton Gym.
This special event celebrates the incredible diversity in our school community by highlighting different cultures, traditions, food, and more. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our families to learn about the many countries represented in our school, share in cultural pride, and enjoy a vibrant evening together.
We invite families to participate by hosting tables to represent a country, sharing traditional dishes, or showcasing elements of cultural heritage through clothing, music, art, and activities. It’s an evening full of fun and learning for everyone... students can even enter in a raffle to win prizes. Please see our Frequently Asked Questions here. Spanish here.
This year Brayton will be using a new vendor, Literati, for our spring book fair in March. Unlike scholastic, Literati is not a publishing house, so they can offer a more diverse assortment of authors and titles from different publishers. As an introduction to Literati, we sent their holiday catalogs home with the students last week. Parents can use the QR code on the catalog or this link and make an account connected to Brayton School and shop for books. All online purchases will give 10% back to Brayton.
Please contact us if you have any questions. Thanks!
