Jefferson Needs Your Plastic!

Jefferson Elementary can earn a brand new (recycled) TREX bench! Donate your stretchy plastic to help grow the collection. Brayton is next for the opportunity to receive a recycled plastic bench, so let’s help Jefferson meet their goal!

THEY ARE CURRENTLY AT: 270 pounds (230 to go!)

This year with Covid, Trex collection is on a do-it-yourself basis. Weigh your plastics, drop them off at a store and then complete the Google form to record the total weight of plastics. You do not need to be a Jefferson School family to participate. Summit’s schools will continue to rotate to receive benches. The best current places to drop your plastics are Home Depot (Vauxhaul) and Stop & Shop (Madison). Trex accepts these types of clean and dry stretched plastics: grocery bags, bread bags, case overwrap, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, ice bags, Ziploc baggies, produce bags, bubble wrap, salt and cereal bags. The Google form can be found at: https://forms.gle/Gft47CnJYCnNATAR6.
