What is Brayton Cares? Brayton Cares is an after school service club that teaches the value of helping others through hands-on service projects, volunteering and fundraising.

What will students do? During the school year, we will periodically feature a different service project or volunteering opportunity to help the Summit community.

Examples of past activities:

  • Assemble bagged lunches or toilette kits for Bridges
  • Wrap holiday gifts
  • Prepare Valentine Cards for Brayton staff

How often will students meet? As often as we can!

Where will students meet? Primarily at Brayton, but there may be opportunities for off-site field trips if we can secure enough parent volunteers.

Who can join? Anyone! Please note that some activities may be limited to specific grades.

Does my student need to commit for the year? No. Each month, we will announce our programming and open up registration. Registration is first come, first serve and limited.

Is there a cost? There are no dues. However, when there are activities where there is a cost such as lunch items for Bridges, we will ask for material or monetary contributions.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If you are a parent interested in volunteering to lead this committee or assist as needed, please contact the PTO!  We will need people to help with supplies, on-site management and off-site field trips (must be fingerprinted).
